Our farm partner believes in a fertilizer and pesticide free environment for their products, trusting that even in the absence of fertilizer, Ryōka's flavour will still shine through.

Behind the name: Ryōka is uncomplicated and simple, just like our childhood summers. Memories built on playground swings, and grassy fields, moments that seemed so ordinary, yet fill us with nostalgia, wishing we could relive those simpler, more organic times.

Ryōka was inspired by the feeling of a cool summer evening. As you try Ryōka, we invite you to recall a memory from your own childhood: what do you remember most about your summers?

Preparation

Usucha (traditional thin tea)
Sift 2g of matcha into 60ml of hot water [160°F/71°C]. Whisk in an “M” and “W” motion for about 30 seconds.

For matcha lattes
Sift 3.5g of matcha into 50ml of hot water [160°F/71°C] and whisk in an “M” and “W” motion for about 30 seconds. Pour over 80–120ml of milk (we recommend oat milk). Add ice for iced lattes, or use steamed milk for a hot latte!

Adjust the amount of milk based on your personal preference!
